There are BIG changes coming to solar this year! If you were ever considering adding solar to your home, I highly suggest signing a contract soon. As of April 13th, 2023, energy companies will be buying back the electricity your panels produce by 75% less than what they do now. This is due to the passing of NEM 3.0 by the California Public Utility Commission. This means that you will no longer get the huge credits on your bills which can be used to offset charges for gas, etc. For those interested in purchasing solar, you can receive a 30% Federal Tax Credit as part of the Inflation Reduction Act. Please check with your CPA for details and qualifications about the tax credit.
If you would like to have your house analyzed to see how solar can benefit you, please reply to this email and I will make a personal introduction to my solar guy, Eric. I believe that you have to have a solar install contract signed and approved by the end of March so time is running out for sure. You will be grandfathered in for 20 years if you act now.
I've had several clients use Eric recently and this seems to be the common feedback I get. One of my clients emailed me this after I referred Eric to him:
"Eric was great and we went forward with him. His pricing was very competitive. I had 2 colleagues that recently added solar and we compared quotes"
Also, here is a quick video recorded by Eric explaining the changes that are coming in more detail:
Reach out to me with any of your real estate needs. My team and I are here to serve you and refer you to any of our trusted vendors as well.
